少儿英语故事：贪吃的Victor

　　上周我们少儿英语故事说到Jimmy明白了妈妈的辛苦，学会了做家务，把黑板擦得干干净净。大扫除结束之后，大家约好一起去公园里面玩。

　　But they hadn’t been there very long when Victor started to feel unwell. Iris asked him, “Victor, we’re going to go fly our kites. Would you like to go?” Victor shook his head, held his stomach, and sat down.

　　“My stomach hurts. You guys go ahead.”

　　可是刚到公园没多久，Victor却突然有些不舒服。Iris问：“Victor，我们要去放风筝，你要来吗?”Victor摇摇头，捂着肚子坐了下来，“我肚子疼，你们先去吧。”

　　Victor sat on the park bench and rested a while. He saw everyone happily flying their kites and felt jealous. His stomach didn’t hurt that much, he thought, so he prepared to go join them, but just then, Pandora walked over with some ice cream. “Victor, does your stomach still hurt?”

　　Victor坐在公园的长椅上休息了一会儿，他看着大家快乐地玩着风筝，心里很羡慕。他觉得自己的肚子不是很疼了，于是准备加入放风筝的队伍。就在这时，Pandora拿着一个冰淇淋走了过来：“Victor，你的肚子还疼吗?”

　　Victor looked at the ice cream in Pandora’s hand, and began to drool. “Pandora, where’d you buy your ice cream?” Pandora pointed to the store.

　　Victor看着Pandora手里的冰淇淋，忍不住流下口水，“Pandora，你的冰淇淋是哪里买的?”Pandora指了指一旁的冷饮店。

　　Victor ran to the store and bought five ice creams, which he ate quickly and happily. Once finished, though, his stomach began to hurt even more! He held his stomach, and began rolling on the ground.

　　Victor跑到冷饮店，一口气买了五个冰淇淋，开开心心地吃了起来。等到五个冰淇淋下肚，Victor的肚子却更疼了，他捂着肚子在地上打滚。

　　Pandora called over Teacher Rolin, who asked “Victor, had you eaten anything before this?”

　　Victor thought. “Yes, three packs of spicy ramen, two sodas, and… then these five ice creams.”

　　Pandora赶紧叫来Rolin老师。Rolin老师问：“Victor，之前你有没有吃什么东西?”Victor想了想：“我吃了三片辣面包，两瓶冰可乐，还有……还有刚刚的五个冰淇淋。”

　　Teacher Rolin sighed. “Victor, eating a suitable amount is fine, but your stomach was hurting because you ate too much. Of course it hurt, and then you ate five ice creams, so of course it hurt even more. You must eat moderate portions. Don’t eat too much, or you’ll lose your health. How will you learn and play if you’re not healthy?”

　　Rolin老师叹了口气，“Victor，吃适量的食物肯定没问题，可是你太贪吃了。一开始你肚子疼，就是因为吃了太多的东西;好不容易不疼了，你又没有节制地吃了五个冰淇淋，所以才会疼得更厉害。吃东西要适量，不能贪吃，不然就会丢掉健康，没有健康的身体又怎么学习和玩耍呢?”

　　Victor nodded. Teacher Rolin sent Victor to the hospital. Under the doctor’s care, Victor began to feel better.

　　Victor点点头。Rolin老师将Victor送到医院，在医生的照顾下，贪吃的Victor终于恢复健康。

　　After the start of the new semester, though, the school curriculum became more difficult. Why? We’ll find out next week.
